How must i use PisiYaP

To the first you must install PisiYaP with the Package Manager or open a Terminal and type the following:

sudo pisi it pisiyap

When PisiYaP is installed you found it in the Menu > Development > PisiYaP click on it and you see the following screen:

The Configuration Screen:

In this first screen place a folder where PisiYaP can create the build folder for the package, you see on the screenshot a folder named Build. As next step you must write the Packager Name and a E-Mail address for the Packager when you have that done click on next.

Search a Package that you will create, Pisi Linux has as Standard DE KDE and so see you as example in the next Screenshot KDE-Apps.org Applications for your KDE Desktop. The choose here as Example for you is Boombox an Audio Player.

You see in the next screen from PisiYaP that you must fill in a lot but it is not so difficult to do it.

Select the source file:

You see you must fill in the source archive, that means when you click on a download Button it download the package you can most time make a right click on it and choose Copy Link Location it works not all Time then must you search a right download Link. As next fill in the Homepage from the Package, so can all User arrived with a click in the Pisi Package Manager the Homepage and must not search in the Internet. The last step what you can do is download the source Package and click in PisiYaP on the Browse Button it open your File Manager and you can choose the Package click on OK and you can see at the most Time PisiYaP detect the version number of the Package when it not so is you must fill it from hand.

Create the Package Name:

On this screen you see the Package Name is not correct and you must change it, a line under it you can write the package Name. You see here the Package Name was a Number and the correct Name was Boombox. On the next two Lines you see again Packager Name and Packager E-Mail Address when it is not so fill it in the lines. Then click on Next.

Fill in the License:

This Section is very important you must fill in as first the License from the Package, that mean each Package has a License and they are important when you create a Pisi Package. But no worries about it when you have a source file extract it and you found the License there or take a look at the Website from the Package. The next entry here was the ISA it means nothing other as is it a gui (Graphical User Interface) or command line Software or anything else. When you build a Package as here Boombox you have a Gui.

The next here was the Summary, the Summary is a short Description about the Software what you will build and as last has you here the Description here can you place the long Description from the Software.

Select the Module:

In this section you found the Module for the Actions.py, also you have the Autotools (configure, make and make install) Then the QT4 tools ( qmake) Then the Cmake tools ( cmake) The Python tools ( python setup.py) The KDE4tools(qmake) and as last the SCons tools(make make install) For more Information about the Modules take a look here What is a actions.py a bigger Description about the Modules from the Actions.py follow soon. Click on next

Desktop file and Icon Tag:

Here on this last screenshot before you have a pspec.xml and a actions.py you can choose any other. To the first can PisiYaP create a Desktop file for you (most Time is a ready Desktop file in the source Package look on it, when it have a Desktop file you must not create another one. The you must not set a hook on the Icon Tag (the Packages have the most Time an Icon) when you set on both a hook, PisiYaP create a seperate folder in your Build folder and it named files Need your Package a service or comar script you must set a hook here. as last you can set a hook on Open files Directory after creation that open your File Manager withe the right place where PisiYaP has build the actions.py the pspec.xml and the translations.xml.
